A. INTRODUCTION
Before we talking about science education, theory education and draft education, will be more good if we know about the meaning of education. In the eduation world, we have to know about paedagogie and paedagogiek. Firstly, they look so similar, but they are differerent. Paedagogie is education, but paedagogiek is science education. The different of them is paedagogie more foccus in the action, that is learn and teaching activity. While, paedagogiek is more foccus for thinking about education. Thinking about system education, purpose education, materials education, medium and infrastructure education, so here the foccus is about theory. Paedagogie and paedagogiek must walk together, matching and correct each other. But, in the world of education, word “paedagogie” more famous and often used by people.
According to etimology, paedagogie come from Yunani language, from word “pais” meaning child, and “again” meaning lead. So, paedagogie is lead the child. While, according to the opinion of some thinkers, such:
• John Dewey, he said, “Education is process of making the fundementil skill according to intellectual and emotional to the direction of world and peer human.”
• Langeveld, he said, “Educate is influence the child in the lead effort so they be adult. Lead effort is a aware effort and happen between the adult and the child.”
• Ki Hajar Dewantara, he said, “Educate is guide every natural power of the child so they as a human and member society can get the highest happiness.”
• Jean Piaget, he said, “Education for most people, means trying to lead the child to resemble the typical adult of his society (whereas) for me, education means making creators, even if there aren’t many of them, even if one’s creations are limited by comparison with those of others.”
• GBHN, “Education is aware effort to develop personality and skill inside and outside the school and continue of the same age.
• UU Nb. 20 / 2003 about National Education System, “Education is aware effort to create a learning atmosphere and process of learning so the students actively develop his skills to get a spiritual power, control self, personality, intelligence, good character and skills that useful for his self, society, nation and state.
B. SCIENCE EDUCATION
Science education is a science that talk about some problem connected with education problem or science that talk about education and theory education. Word “education” in English come from Latin language, “edure” meaning take something, maybe take the science into the someone’s brain. In Arabic, people usually call word education with word “ta’lim” or “tarbiyah”.
In the same manner as above, if science education talk about some problem especially eduation problem, so here we will discuss about it. In general, eduation problem clssified into 2 side:
1. Eduction Explanation Side
a. From etimologys side, education wellborn from Yunani language “paedagogie” meaning lead the child. Someone who lead the child and have a purpose to bring the child to the study place, in Yunani called “paedagogos”.
b. From essentialist side, education is influence, aid or demand that gived to someone who responsible to the child or students.
2. Education to the Target View Side
Student is young person who still on potential level, not “maximal” yet. Because of that, eduation or educate called fundamental action. Because educate is make the young person be the real person, educate is hominisation and humanisation process, that is an action that make a person be a person. Hominisation process meaning human process, from potential level be maximal level, where he had do something like a human. While humanisation process indicate a higher development.
Be sides talk about education problems, of course science education talk about instruction too. Instrucion is a teach process, teach manner, teach action or everything about teach or educate. In a big line, instruction method can clarificationed be 2 section, that is:
1. Konventional Instruction Method
Konventional instruction is a instruction method that usually used by teacher and often called a traditional method. This method, include:
a. Speech method
b. Discusion method
c. Question-answer method
d. Demonstration and experiment method
e. Homework method
f. Teamwork method
g. Study tour method
2. Inkonventional Instruction Method
Inkonventional instruction is a new teach technique that unusually used by teacher and general. The example of this method, such teach method with module, instruction with programs, instruction unit, etc.
C. THEORY EDUCATION
Theory education is a base on practical work education development, such curriculum development, learn and teaching activity and school management. There are four theory education, that is:
1. Classical Education
Classical education is a oldest theory education. This theory emphasize the content education just than the process. On the practical work, educator have a big character and more dominant. While the student have a passive character, just as a receiver of information and assignment from educator.
Classical education theory base on classical philosophy that view if education function as take care eforts, preserved, and continue the culture legacy. Classical philosophy here, such:
a. Perenialism, that more emphasize on humanis, personality formation, and mental chacarcteristic.
b. Essentialism, that give priority to science than humanis. They are more pragmatis, education directioned in prepare young generation to jump down to work world. Orientation on essentialism is at this period and the future. The main purpose of education according to essentialism is get a better work, can make a good cooperation with the other person, and get a lot ultimate.
c. Eksistensialism
2. Personalized Education
This theory start from assumption if since borned, the child had have certain skills. Education have to can develop the skills by start from the necessary and interest the child. Here, the child or the student become the main character of education, while the educator just occupy the second position that have a role as guide, booster, facilitator and attendant of the student.
This theory have two current, that is progressive education and romantic education. Progressive education view if the student is a whole unit. While romantic education view everyone in a pure situation, have a honest lustrous, correctness and sincerity.
Personalized education become a source for humanism curriculum style development, that is curriculum style that have a purpose expand the self consciousness and substract the distantly spaced and the stranged from the circles and self actualization process.
3. Tecnology Education
Tecnology education have a similarity with classical education about character education in convoy the information. But they are different. Because tecnology education more foccus at making and authority the competence or practical skills, not preserving the old culture.
Here, the content education choosed by special field expert team. The content is object and skills that direct to vocational skills and arranged in program design type or instruction design, and presentated with electronic media.
In this theory, educator function as director of learning, more the management assignment than delivery and deepening of the matter. Then, learning by means of individual learning method, book media or electronic media, so the student can get a certain base skills.
4. Interactional Education Theory
Theory education that started from human thunking as social creature that always have an interaction and team work with the others. Here, the interation occur between the educator and the student, between the student and the learning material too. This interation occur in a dialogue form.
This theory boceome a source for social reconstructioal curriculum style development, that is a curriculum style that have a purpose to arraign the student to the challenge or disturbance of the human. The interactioanal view according to thinking about human existenty at look the alive in the world that according to the theory about knowledge and value that attentived.
To get an education with humanity climate with pressing on the interaction, so something must get an attention, that is:
a. Society
Education must according to personal unit, a small community that enable the student know another and have a team work in a right condition.
b. Situation
Learning have to in the actual context and there must occur a consciousness process in the unique live situation. So, the direction of education refer the future.
c. Critical Consciousness
The goal of interactional education is help the student to get his critical cosciousness about reality in the society, so the student have a wish to repair his circles, society and culture.
D. DRAFT EDUCATION
Draft about world education meaning human effort to develop the nature skills until get a result and achievement, so he can reach the maturity. According to the essence, draft education refer to a guidance process that have within it an element such educator, student and purpose of education. Bacause it, we can take a philosophical analysis that base comprehansion about education, that is:
1. Education as Culture Transformation Process
Here, education meaned as inheriting culture activity from one generation to the other generation.
2. Education as Personal Formation Process
Here, education meaned as a systematic and directioned activity to formed the student personality.
3. Education as National Prepared Process
Here, education meaned as a prepared activity to give a supplies to the student, so later he can become a good and productive national.
4. Education as Provider Manpower
Here, education meaned as lead activity until the students have a base supplies to work.
From the explanation above, we know that education is a process that must did by everyone. Education can form human and national personality.
Then, to drive education system intactly, we must have a number of factor education, that is:
1. Purpose factor
2. Educator factor
3. Student factor
4. Instrument education factor
5. Circles factor
E. CONCLUSION
From the text above, we can pull a conclusion, that is:
Science eduation is a science that talk about some problem connected with education problem or science that talk about education and theory education.
